  • The amount of weight you need depends on your body size, wetsuit thickness, experience level, and the type of diving you plan to do. As a general rule, most snorkelers and freedivers wearing a 7mm wetsuit in Sitka's cold waters will need significantly more weight than they would in warmer locations.

    If you're unsure, we're happy to help estimate an appropriate starting weight based on your height, weight, and experience level. Keep in mind that proper weighting is an important safety consideration, and renters are responsible for checking that their weighting is appropriate for their abilities and planned activities.

  • No. Rental gear customers are responsible for their own transportation and for choosing where they snorkel or freedive.
